I traveled this last weekend to Bath in the UK to attend a British Masters training camp,  organized by British Masters lifter Sandra Smith-Vokroj, designed to help support the preparation for those lifters participating in the European Masters Games in Italy and the World Championship in Cyprus 2011. I was part of the national Belgian womens team, which was me, and two female cadets.   So we did not win, as other teams had five lifters but had a good time, but a long day. Some photos below:  

Return of the weary traveler, two things I did not expect:  thought I would perform better, and thought I would come back with no medal, or bronze. Silver medal, and 104 kg total, 4 for 6.  My last jerk of 63 turned into the Mexican wave, showing I am still young enough to get out…

  Hard week, working towards the European Masters in Germany in two weeks, so this was a hard training for me.  Did reasonably, got four out of six, and was credible with a third place overall finish.

In the home stretch for nationals and European Masters, so can only post older stuff right now 😉

Second interclub, did all 6 lifts with three white lights, and unfortunately with the start of the stomach flu, which I suffered from all night last night 🙁 Given back problem of last week, and stomach bug, 105kg total is pretty darn good!
